Women and agriculture |
 |
Despite the fact that agriculture has been mechanized and commercialized, the role of women continues to be a major one, for which the reward and recognition is minimal. As for their present status, the reasons could be many, chief among them are: they stand in isolation both within the family and in the community.

Social inclusion of abandoned women. |

In this era of heightened capitalist way of production and consumeristict life style, all those who cannot be part of the process and being neglected and made to feel unwanted. Chief among them are the widows, destitute, deserted women and women headed families. |

Women and tribal development |
 |
The modern concept of development has made the tribes who thrived from cattle rearing, collection of forest produces and little bit of agriculture, to full time agriculturists, which has disturbed their traditional culture and livelihood base. As of now, they too face unemployment, migration, health & sanitation problems and social seclusion from like the mainland population. |
