Socio Economic & Educational Society (SEEDS) was promoted in 1994 by A.Ramachandran and team of social activists hailing from the bottom strata of the society. The focus of its activities was to address the socio economic, environment, educational, health and human rights issues of the downtrodden and differently abled persons, specially the dalit and women, in various districts of Tamil Nadu.
SEEDS at present are managed by Mr. Ramachandran – who is the Secretary, and has more than 30 years of experience in social development field. The Organization is actively involved in Madurai, Trichy and Namakkal districts of Tamil Nadu. SEEDS has a resource team of Academicians, Environmentalist & Activists - well versed in addressing various social issues, and a qualified staff team – committed to bring about participatory community development.

SEEDS were registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975. It is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 and has registration under section 12A & 80G of Income Tax Act 1961 and has registered under CSR-Form 1.

• To induct and step-up human services at times of disaster due to natural calamity, epidemic and pandemic for retrieving the victims to normalcy.
